The First Meeting of the Advisory Board of the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation

The Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation has established an Advisory Board – an honorary collegial body bringing together like-minded people committed to supporting the Foundation’s mission and contributing to its strategic development.

The Foundation’s Advisory Board brings together representatives from diverse fields, including civil society, business, culture and education, and international cooperation.

Members of the Advisory Board

Christine Hawrylyshyn-Batruch is a daughter of Bohdan Hawrylyshyn and co-founder of the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation. For twenty years, she served as VP Corporate Responsibility at Lundin Energy. Since 2023, she heads Anima Conseils, a sustainability consulting company. Member of the Advisory Board of IMD’s Responsible Reconstruction Fund and of the Advisory Editorial Board of I by IMD publication. Board member of multiple Ukraine related humanitarian organizations.

Taras Panasenko is a co-founder of Aurora Group, one of Ukraine’s leading retailers. He is a graduate of the IMD Executive MBA program, member of the Business Council under the President of Ukraine, serves on the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

Oleksandra Matviichuk is a human rights lawyer, head of the Center for Civil Liberties that works to defend freedom and human dignity in Ukraine and the OSCE region. She is the author of a number of reports to various UN bodies, the Council of Europe, the European Union, the OSCE and the International Criminal Court. In 2022 she received the Nobel Peace Prize for the work of her organization the Center for Civil Liberties. In 2026, she was named a Honourable Member of European Order of Merit by the European Parliament, an honor recognizing her significant contribution to European integration and the protection of European values.

Hanna Hopko is a chair of the Board of the National Interests Advocacy Network “ANTS” and co-founder of the International Center for Ukrainian Victory (ICUV). She served as a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament of the 8th convocation and, from 2014 to 2019, chaired the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs. In 2014, Foreign Policy named Hanna one of its Leading Global Thinkers.

Bogdan Logvynenko is a journalist, serviceman, and storyteller whose work brings Ukraine to the world. For decades, he has explored culture, society, and identity through personal stories and lived experience. As the founder of several media projects and communities, Bohdan has pioneered new formats in journalism, experimented with forms of storytelling, and supported independent cultural and civic initiatives, helping lay the foundations for new institutions.

Dina Volynets is a strategic advisor to business owners and senior executives. Creator of the Curly Management™ Framework, an approach to values-based management. Author of the book “How to Manage Projects Without Betraying Yourself.” IAF-certified facilitator and ACC-certified coach. Founder of Curly Management Bureau, an agency specializing in values-based organizational development. 18 years of experience in organizational development.

Maryna Popatenko is an expert on youth policy and youth work; Chair of the Board of the non-governmental organization “Association of Youth Workers of Ukraine.” Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine (2020–2023). Director of the Organizational Development Department at JSC “NSTU” (Public Broadcaster).

Roman Lozynskyi is a member of the Ukrainian Parliament, First Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Committee of State Service, Local Governance, Regional Development and Urban Planning, Chairman of the subcommittee on decolonization. He is a veteran of the russian-ukrainian war, political scientist, scoutmaster, triathlete.

The first meeting of the Advisory Board took place in late July. The Board will serve as a space for exchanging experience, strategic dialogue, and exploring new opportunities for the Foundation’s development. Its members will be able to contribute to discussions on the Foundation’s strategic priorities, share expertise in their respective fields, help expand its network of partners and like-minded people, and participate in the Foundation’s initiatives and events.

It is particularly symbolic that the Advisory Board begins its work in 2026 – the year marking the 100th anniversary of Bohdan Hawrylyshyn’s birth. This year, the Foundation is bringing together partners and representatives of civil society, business, culture, and public institutions to reflect on his legacy and further develop the ideas of human responsibilities, freedom, and collaboration that remain highly relevant for Ukraine today.
