Blossoming sunflowers – blossoming Ukraine! VII Responsibility Marathon from the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation

The Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation invites you to join the VII Responsibility Marathon!

Since February 2022, all of us have been working for Ukraine’s victory! We are acting and dreaming about the blossoming future of our country. In our annual initiative, we invite you to share your dreams about Ukraine’s future and tell how exactly your responsible actions help to make it all come true.

How to join the VII Responsibility Marathon?

Step 1. Get sunflower seeds. Variety of species doesn’t matter, but if you want to plant sunflowers “Bohdan Hawrylyshyn”, leave your request in this Google form, and then donate to the #DemineToSaveLives initiative, in which we buy demining equipment for sappers.

Step 2. During May-early June, plant sunflower seeds in open ground, in your yard, or near your home (ensure the place is safe). Take care of your plant keeping the soil moist. Later, you will see how new life flourishes. This is how Ukraine will prosper with our responsible actions!

Step 3. The sunflower grows for around 100 days, during which so many things can be done. For example, you can make lots of donations to support our defenders, you can sign a petition to rename streets in your city, you can stop saying “not today” about the visit to the doctor, you can invite your friends to board games night, etc.

Step 4. While the sunflowers are growing, read the Declaration of Human Responsibilities by Dr. Bohdan Hawrylyshyn and describe your dream Ukraine  where you act responsibly every day. Tag the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation (we are on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), add the hashtags #bh15, #ResponsibilityMarathon, #SunflowerChallenge. In this way, we can support and inspire each other with our stories.

However, our actions are the most important because they are like seeds for our personal growth. Thanks to our Armed Forces of Ukraine, we have the possibility to grow personally and professionally. We learn, work, defend, and help. Blossoming sunflowers – blossoming Ukraine. This phrase means that we should start changing ourselves. Right now. This is how it works.
