Blossoming sunflowers – blossoming Ukraine! VI Responsibility Marathon 2022

The Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation continues the annual initiative. Join us in planting sunflowers: may new life and the future rise.

Every year, while the sunflowers were blooming, the people used to strive to improve or change something in themselves. We used to read the Declaration of Human Responsibilities, chose one point for change – to take care of health, develop talents, help society, etc. The Responsibility Marathon brought together thousands of people and stories, inspiring us to take further responsibility towards ourselves, our families, the community or the city.

Today, Ukrainian society is uniting and strengthening. Every action or deed, like a seed to a seed, sows a new future for Ukraine. The Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation continues the tradition of responsibility marathons, but this year we will talk not about our responsible actions, but about the reasons why we are doing them.

To plant a flower or write a story about the country of your dreams are symbolic steps. There are so many good deeds that there won’t be enough Ukrainian fields to sow sunflowers. Ukrainian men and women are doing a lot at the front and home. However, during the war, we all need support and confidence. We have the opportunity to inspire each other with our stories, to see how new life is flourishing, how Ukraine is rising thanks to our responsible actions.

Steps:

1. Get sunflower seeds. Variety or species does not matter, but if you want to plant sunflowers “Bohdan Hawrylyshyn”, leave us an application in this Google form: https://bit.ly/3sdSZ2G, and make a charitable contribution on the site. 
2. During May-early June, plant sunflower seeds in open ground, in your yard or near your home (the main thing is to make sure the place is safe). Take care of your plant, keep the soil moist. After a while you will see how new life flourishes. This is how Ukraine prospers, growing stronger with our actions, our courage and our unity.
3. While the sunflowers are growing, describe the image of dream Ukraine, you are responsible for today. Tag the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation (we are on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter), add the hashtags #СоняшникГаврилишина, #bh15, #МарафонВідповідальності, #я_відповідальність. In this way, we can support and inspire each other with our stories.
