Travelling Exhibition
“Responsibilities We Share”
When we build a house, we understand that we need to maintain and look after it. When we get a pet, we care for it, nurture it, and take it to the vet. We can be responsible homeowners, drivers, colleagues, parents. So why is it so hard for us to be responsible at the level of our community, country, or the world?
This is how the story of the Travelling Exhibition of the Declaration of Human Responsibilities begins. The exhibition was launched in 2023.
The idea to create a social illustration exhibition arose from the Foundation’s desire to offer people a creative space for defining life guideposts as a precondition for making decisions, taking action, and collaborating with others. One such guidepost, in our view, is personal responsibility.
At the heart of the exhibition are 15 illustrations by Ukrainian artists from Pictoric, who creatively reinterpreted the Declaration of Human Responsibilities by the world-renowned economist and visionary Bohdan Hawrylyshyn. He created the document in 2014, following the Revolution of Dignity, embedding in it philosophical reflections on human responsibility as one of the key values in building a more democratic, inclusive, and effective society.
The mission of the Travelling Exhibition is to unite people and communities around the world through shared values, responsibility, and cooperation.
Since 2023, the exhibition has travelled thousands of kilometers across Ukraine and abroad to schools, libraries, cultural spaces, and events ranging from local to international in scale.
The exhibition has been displayed in Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Latvia, and Portugal.
